Biographical Info

Robert Hopkins is a an up-and-coming writer/producer with a decade of film and TV credits to his name. He is the Chief Operation Officer (COO) of Breakthrough Pictures, a full service production company that seeks to provide people of color with fair and accurate representation in arts and entertainment while providing enriching and well developed content for all audiences.

Having worked primarily in the Charleston market, Robert has built a stellar reputation as a hard-working professional with many professional relationships. He has held jobs in several departments, including costumes, sound, locations, the production office, set production, and has worked as a director’s assistant.

Robert Hopkins is also an alumnus of Trident Technical College. In addition, he has an Associate’s degree in Film Production. The relationships that he has with the Media Arts faculty will help build a bridge between the CFA and Trident Technical, expand the youth membership numbers, and give the students access to professionals that can help guide them in their career journey, making their dreams a reality.
