As part of Indie Grants prep, the South Carolina Film Commission will be holding a one-day INDIE FILM DEVELOPMENT workshop on Saturday, June 1, at Trident Technical College in North Charleston.

The free seminar will take place from 10a-5p in Building 970 at Trident Technical College (7000 Rivers Ave., North Charleston, SC).

It will be led by experienced industry professionals in four stages of content development — Story/Creative, Production Management, Physical Production, and Financing/Marketing/Distribution.

It will be capped off with a recent South Carolina independent feature-film as case study and a Q&A on INDIE GRANTS.

Ideal for feature-films, webisodics, proof-of-concepts, docs and shorts, it will serve as a comprehensive primer on the mechanics of developing, creating, and selling content, especially in the independent film space.

With many of these principles required by the INDIE GRANTS application, submissions are a great place to put these concepts into practice right away.
