Indie Grants – Get info before the deadline

INDIE GRANTS will hold an info session on Tuesday, May 12, at 7pm ET via Zoom Webinar. Designed for those considering submitting to the 2020 INDIE GRANTS funding cycle, producers and filmmakers will be on hand to discuss the submission process, the production process, and answer questions about all.

INDIE GRANTS submissions are due June 22. The program funds and supports short films by South Carolina filmmakers, while at the same time generating professional training environments for Trident Tech film students.

INDIE GRANTS also helps connect top-notch crews and department heads with each selected film, resulting in quality, career-making projects. Recent collaborators include Oscar-winning DP Russell Carpenter (Titanic, Avatar 2), actress Anna Camp (Pitch Perfect, Perfect Harmony), actor AJ Bowen (You’re Next, The Sacrament), DP Peter Simonite (The Perfect Guy, 2nd Unit DP on Tree of Life), and writer Brad Land (Goat).

Past INDIE GRANTS films have been official selections of top international film festivals like Sundance, Tribeca, Palm Springs, Austin Film Festival, FantasticFest, Cucalorus, Tall Grass, Slamdance, LA Film Festival, DragonCon, and many more.

Get full details, the application, and FAQs at the INDIE GRANTS funding page.

Exact funding amounts are based on the needs of the selected project(s), funding available through the INDIE GRANTS program, and other factors at the discretion of INDIE GRANTS, the South Carolina Film Commission and Trident Technical College.

Hope to see you on May 12!
