Hurricane Florence Relief for Wilmington

Please join the CFA in the Hurricane Relief efforts for our Brothers and Sisters in Wilmington, NC

Mount Pleasant Regional Airport, operated by the Charleston County Aviation Authority, is collecting hurricane relief supplies to airlift to flood-stricken areas in North Carolina and South Carolina after Hurricane Florence. According to Tim Doctor, Line Service Technician, there are two flights a day to Wilmington.

The drop-off location is the Pat Waters Community Hanger at 700 Faison Road, Mt. Pleasant, SC 29466. Drop-off hours are 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. As of now, the relief flights will run through Friday, Sept. 21 at 7 p.m.

Operation Airdrop will accept the following items: baby items such as diapers, clean and usable clothing, batteries, toiletries, dry food goods, non-perishable food and bleach. As of today, larger planes have been added and they can also accept bottled water and canned goods. Donations are tax deductible

Let’s take all those items we stocked up on and didn’t use and send them to our friends in Wilmington and surrounding areas.

If you have questions, call a Line Service Technician, 843.884.8837 or email them at info@iflyLRO.com

These pilots are paying for their own gas at $4 to $5 per gallon. If anyone would like to donate money for gas for these planes, call the number above and help out that way.
