9TH ANNUAL CHARLESTON FILM FESTIVAL This Friday, March 16th at 7pm | The Terrace Theater in Charleston The Indie Grants are teaming up with the 9th Annual Charleston Film Festival for a special screening of their most recent short films, taking place this Friday, March 16th, at 7 pm at the Terrace Theater (1956-D Maybank Hwy, Charleston, SC). The screening is free and open to the public. Filmmakers will be on hand for Q&A, as well as Indie Grants staff to talk about the grant program and process. The Indie Grants fund and produce short films by South Carolina filmmakers, with the next funding cycle opening in April 2018. Click here for more info on the program and submissions. SAD STEVE - Written & Directed by Eric B. Shanks Produced by John Reynolds, Ed Tilden Starring Cate Freedman, Alex Stags, Elio Schwartz, Alex Digiacinto A newly single man struggles to find some precious alone time after a recent break-up.
ISLE OF PALMS - Written by Joe Worthen and Directed by John Barnhardt Starring Sean Michael Weber, Ben VanderMey, Terry Serpico Shane is sent on a sun-washed quest to track down the mysterious molly dealer Hugo Bereft.
BLOOD SPOOK (work in progress) - Written & Directed by Steve Daniels Starring A.J. Bowen In this Southern Gothic road tale, a guilt riddled nomad travels the haunted highways seeking forgiveness. But dark urges are at play when truck stop prostitutes are found murdered.
