Indie GrantsAlmost ten years ago, Indie Grants began funding and producing short film projects by South Carolina filmmakers. As the only program in the nation supporting short filmmaking at this level, Indie Grants is on the forefront of the independent film community, providing funding, top-notch professional development and production training.

We are excited to announce the 2019/2020 funding cycle is now open! Selected short films will be funded in amounts up to $35K, with extensive production support from top staff and professionals. Check out the application and more info here:

Indie Grants films have been official selections of international film festivals such as Sundance, Palm Springs, Austin Film Festival, FantasticFest, Cucalorus, Tall Grass, Slamdance, Stiges, Oxford, Nashville Film Festival, Atlanta Film Festival, Indie Memphis, LA Film Festival, DragonCon, and many more.

Recent filmakers and collaborators include Oscar-winning DP Russell Carpenter (Titanic, Ant-Man), actress Anna Camp (Pitch Perfect, True Blood) actor AJ Bowen (You’re Next, The Sacrament), actress Cate Freedman (Teachers), DP Peter Simonite (The Perfect Guy, 2nd Unit DP on Tree of Life), and writer Brad Land (Goat).
